Dear Little Man Cole,
Two letters in such a short time, how lucky are you. The reason I am writing is because two fun/funny things happened today and I wanted to share them with you. First off I will tell you what you did this morning. As I have mentioned in the earlier letter we are working on potty training you, and boy is it a treat. But today you showed me that you are learning even if it is taking a while to get it down pat. You had a very little puppy doll that you were carrying around the house and talking to this morning, and all of a sudden you came running to me and said, “Mommy, puppy potty.” So I said without paying to much attention to the phrase, “Good puppy, way to go to the potty.” Then you ran out of the room again, and did not return for a few moments, so I went to find you. Well guess where you were, yes in the bathroom dipping your puppy in the toilet, and saying puppy potty. So I ran into the bathroom and told you that the puppy does not go IN the toilet to go potty, and that now we have to wash the puppy. Then you started crying really hard and yelling, “puppy, potty.” I had to try and explain to you again that the puppy doesn’t go into the potty, he can just sit on your little potty. This really didn’t help, and you just wanted to hold your potty watered puppy, but of course I threw him in the wash so that he could get clean. You know so much about potty training already, that you are trying to train your dolls. What a cute kid!!
Also today we finished a week long event of swimming lessons at the Clearfield Aquatic center. It was a parent and child swimming class that just helped you learn about blowing bubbles, swimming, and being more comfortable with the water. You did GREAT! The teacher said today that you are doing wonderful, and she told dad yesterday that she has never seen such a young child do as well as you were. When you jump in the water you blow bubble until we get you out, and when we push you towards to outer wall you reach for the wall and blow bubbles until you pull yourself out of the water. I really feel that this was a great class for you and that you definitely feel more comfortable with the water now that you had this class.
Thank you for being my son and being such a sweet heart. I just love to be around you and look into your beautiful blue eyes. You are truly an angel sent from Heaven and who loves his Heavenly Father. I know this because you are always wanting to say prayers at meal time, and just sometimes throughout the day. Also lately you have been mentioning Aunt Hannah, who passed away in May, and we told you that she is in Heaven with Heavenly Father, and so when you say her name you fold your arms and say Hannah and shake your head like by folding your arms you know that she is where she is suppose to be.
Well Cole I hope you know that I love you more than I can ever put down in words, and I know your Dad does too.
Love Ya!
Mom
