Dear Cole,

Hey big guy!! It has been a while since I have had the opportunity to write you a letter because the computer has been in Abby’s bedroom and it has been really hard to use it because I usually use it when you guys are sleeping, but that wakes up Abby. But luckily for Christmas your amazing father gave me a laptop. So now I can type and use the laptop whenever I want. Laptops are really fun, and probably by the time you get to read this they will be old news, but as for right now they are really neat!

I have so much catching up to do with what I want to tell you, so this could be a couple days’ entries. Let’s start with the fact that you are now 3 years old! I could not believe it when you turned 3 you are my baby. You are so much wiser than your years though. Every day you say or do something that truly amazes me, and lets me see how smart you truly are. For your birthday you picked a Hamburger birthday cake. During the summer we had seen a hamburger cake at Sams Club, and since your favorite food is hamburgers you wanted a hamburger cake. It was extremely cute and yummy! Of course your family was over and you had a blast celebrating with everyone. Present were a little over whelming to some degree. You only enjoyed opening a couple of presents then you wanted to just play with one gift. So word to the wise when you have your own children they only need one or two presents. Another thought that is really hard to do, just buy a couple of gifts. I say that every time I have the opportunity to give you gifts and then I seem to buy more than you need because I think you will like it. Oh I am a sucker for you. You just seem to melt my heart with your smile.

I thought I would tell you some of your favorite things when you were two:

Color: Red

Food: Cheese Burgers

Movie: Ratatouille (Disney)

Songs: Reba, Reba, Reba – You loved Reba Mcentire so much. Your ultimate favorite song was called Because of You (or as your called it “Mamma’s Song” or “Broke Vase Song”). She sang this song with Kelly Clarkson. We actually recorded the music video on the TV and we watched it hundreds of times, maybe even thousands of times. You had it memorized so much that when we would listen to the song in the car or on the radio you would tell us what would be happening if we were watching it. Let’s just say that Dad and I got extremely sick of that song. You also enjoyed the song “Somebody” by Reba as well.

Toy: Power Wheels Truck (Ford F150) Drove all over the neighborhood.

Book: Moose Tracks by Karma Wilson, and Ike Larue, Letter from Obedience School. You love to read!!!!

Blankets: Of course your blue and white blankets, which you would take with you everywhere if you could.

Juice: Anything, but water. You wouldn’t drink water unless it was flavored to taste like juice, so basically you just drank juice.

You told me tonight as I lay by you in bed before you went to sleep that someday when you get old you will still be my Cole and give me big hugs and kisses. So I hope you always remember that. Well I will continue tomorrow to get you caught up on how stinkin cute you are. With all my love and hugs!!!

Mom
